Recent Progress
As previously reported, in August the bids for the ramp removal and new retaining wall came in within budget.  This phase of construction is underway and is anticipated to be completed in February 2007.

In October, WSDOT and Sound Transit signed an agreement for Sound Transit to direct BNSF in the design of the track and signal work that includes WSDOT project improvements.  Sound Transit will direct BNSF construction for both WSDOT and Sound Transit improvements.  Negotiations for a separate construction contract between WSDOT and Sound Transit continues, but is anticipated to be completed before February 2007, without delaying the track and signal construction.

Old I-90 off ramp will be removed to make way for new track in order for the main line to be relocated.
