Rail - Cascades Trainsets Overhaul - Photos

Newly renovated bistro car in the Mount Rainier train set. This is the first of five train sets that will get complete bistro and lounge car upgrades by the end of 2012.



Completely upgraded lounge car rolls back into service featuring new floors, interior paint, new fixtures and re-upholstered seating.

The lounge car of the Mount Rainier trainset was stripped in March 2012.

The three state-owned Amtrak Cascades trainsets have been in service since 1999. All three trainsets will receive interior and exterior improvements and will be restored to like new condition.
