Overview
This project created a transload facility in Quincy, where trucks and containers can be loaded on and off railcars. A 400-acre staging area for trains and trucks to transload their cargos was constructed, including double-stack train staging tracks, paving, fencing, lighting, and security.
Construction was completed in April 2005.
 | Relieves Congestion
The project will improve rail access to the Port of Quincy, and helps reduce congestion at the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma by moving truck pickups and deliveries out to the agricultural areas of central Washington.
