The Scott Pierson Trail, constructed as part of the SR 16 Union to Jackson project, extends along the SR 16 corridor between Tacoma and Gig Harbor. The five-mile pedestrian and bicycle trail is named in honor of former City of Tacoma landscape architect and urban planner, Scott Pierson (1943-2001). Pierson strived to advance non-motorized transportation and environmental stewardship in Tacoma and throughout Pierce County. The photos below depict the decorative walls along the trail.Click here to view a map of the trail.
