Available images include circa 1970 historical pictures, perspective photos and aerial photos, and a computer-enhanced image of the viaduct when westbound construction is finished in 2011.

Video clip of Sprague Avenue westbound weave (0:42 sec)

One of the most important benefits of this project is elimination of traffic weave. Motorists entering SR 16 from northbound and southbound I-5 have just 600 feet to merge on to SR 16 or exit at Sprague Avenue. See what the weave looks like during the evening commute.

Sprague Avenue closures and alternate routes

Construction of the new westbound viaduct requires long term closures of the Sprague Avenue on- and off- ramps. Two of the four existing Sprague Avenue ramps close in late January 2009. The other two close in fall 2009.
