What’s happening?
The South 38th Street exit (#132A) from southbound I-5 will be
closed around the clock through July. The southbound I-5 exit to westbound SR 16 (#132B) will remain open.
When?
Starting at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, April 20 through July, 2013.
Why?
Crews will demolish, rebuild and realign the South 38th Street exit to
accommodate the new eastbound SR 16 viaduct.
What is the detour?
The detour directs drivers to the South 56th Street exit (#130), where
motorists will re-enter northbound I-5 and take the northbound exit
to South 38th Street.
What can you do to avoid delays and keep traffic moving?
- Avoid traveling between 3 and 6 p.m. on weekdays
- Choose other alternate routes
