Weather-permitting Portland Avenue will be closed between 27th and 28th streets the first weekend in October.
The closure will impact nearby residents and businesses and the 22,000 motorists who drive this section of roadway daily. A signed detour (shown below on the map) will help drivers navigate the closure.
Work hours are 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 1 to 4:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 4.
If poor weather occurs, the closure will be rescheduled for the weekend of Oct. 8.
