Why are we Building This Project?
Sandridge Road is one of only two north/south routes available on the Long Beach Peninsula with the other route being State Route 103. The Long Beach Peninsula is known for tourism and offers many festivals throughout the year. The Long Beach Peninsula lies between Willapa Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The area offers State parks including Ledbetter Point, lighthouses, history, beach access and numerous other points of interest. Sandridge Road accesses the oyster industry farms and also the Port of Nahcotta. The traffic signalization project is needed during the busy summer months when thousands of visitors call upon the area for vacation.
