Fruitdale/McGarigle Road Project and SR9/Township Sidewalk

Project location map

Roadway reconstruction with storm drainage, water mains, sanitary sewer, sewer and storm pump stations, force mains, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, ped/bike path, street lighting, ADA ramps, school zone crosswalks, and pavement markings.

Why are we Building This Project?
This project will provide arterial street improvements to city standards for this formerly county road system, adding a sidewalk on one side and a 11' bike/ped path on the opposite side for the 1.6 mile length of the project.  Also included are storm drainage, water main and sanitary sewer upgrades and additions to provide service for portions of the project area not currently served or under served, including the industrial properties adjacent to the route, allowing further development of these sites.  Improved street lighting, cross walks and ADA ramps will enhance pedestrian and bicycle access to the middle school and elementary schools located on this route.  Realigning skewed intersections to standards will enhance vehicle safety.
