Crews will make SR 520 and I-90 smarter by installing electronic signs over the roadway that will display variable speed limits, lane status and real-time traffic information.
The two maps below include the mile posts where each of the new electronic signs will be located on both SR 520 and I-90. As the first map indicates, SR 520 will have 14 new sign bridges that support the signs. Five groups of signs on the Seattle side of the SR 520 Bridge will be mounted on existing overhead structures, such as an overpass or sign bridge.
I-90 will have new ATM signs at 25 locations, both eastbound and westbound. Seven groups of signs will be mounted on existing structures.
