I-90 - Medical Lake I/C to Geiger I/C

  • WSDOT plans to advertise this project for construction bids in late 2019

This project provides improvements to the I-90/SR 902-Medical Lake interchange and the I-90/Geiger Blvd. interchange.  Improvements include interchange ramp terminal intersection roundabouts.

Why is WSDOT reconfiguring these interchanges?
These interchanges are seeing an increase in commercial truck traffic and residential vehicle traffic and need to be improved.

The End Result
These interchanges will be able to handle increased traffic volumes.

Project Benefits
This area is seeing growth in commercial and industrial development, as well as residential housing.  The reconfigured interchanges will provide for more efficient vehicle movement.

What is the project timeline?
The project is funded for design in the 2017-2019 biennium.  Construction is slated for 2019-2021.
