Budget Information

I-90 - West Lake Sammamish Parkway - Intersection Modification - Completed November 2013

Overview
In the spring and summer of 2013, contractor crews built a new roundabout at the intersection of the westbound I-90 on- and off-ramps and West Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast/180th Avenue Southeast.

This intersection was the site of 41 collisions from 2006-2010.

As part of this contract, crews also installed guardrails around bridge piers and nine Interstate 5 overpasses and one overpass on State Route 18.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
The roundabout will reduce the risk of collisions, especially those involving drivers turning across traffic. Roundabouts make intersections safer by reducing the number and severity of collisions.
Car GlyphRelieves Congestion
Roundabouts promote a continuous flow of traffic because drivers only have to yield to other drivers, not stop.
