I-90 - Two-Way Transit and HOV Operations - July to September 2007

Sept. 2007 - Crews pour and smooth concrete along the westbound right shoulder of I-90 near East Mercer Way to widen the freeway.


Sept. 2007 - Installing new catch basins and manholes in the widening area along the westbound right shoulder of I-90 near Island Crest Way.


Aug. 2007 - With the permanent supports in place for the new westbound HOV exit ramp at 80th Avenue SE, crews are installing temporary construction scaffolding in preparation to build the ramp itself. Compare how this area looked four months ago.


Aug. 2007 - Crews have installed steel rebar and are now placing wood forms before pouring concrete for a new retaining wall along the westbound I-90 on-ramp from East Mercer Way.


Aug. 2007 - Crews are beginning to build the footing of a barrier-like wall that will separate the old and new Bellevue Way HOV ramps.


July 2007 - Repairing and improving drainage at the Mercer Slough outfall.


July 2007 - Workers placing forms around a steel column. We will pour concrete into these forms, which hold the concrete in place while it's curing. This column will help support the new westbound I-90 HOV exit ramp at 80th Avenue SE on Mercer Island.
