Project Description
This project will add a third lane, in each direction, to Interstate 90 between the Argonne Rd. I/C and the Sullivan Rd. I/C. All existing lanes will be rebuilt with Portland Cement Concrete.

Recent Progress
Reconstruction of the eastbound and westbound lanes is now complete. I-90 from Argonne Road to Sullivan Road is fully open to traffic. All lanes and ramps are open and traffic is operating in its permanent position. Items remaining for spring of 2006 completion include electrical and communication systems and permanent stripping.

No issues at this time.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
The Contractor will be using best management practices to mitigate and minimize any potential negative impacts to the environment.

Impacts to Traffic
All lanes and ramps are open and traffic is in its permanent position. Work has been suspended until warmer weather arrives next spring. Drivers should expect some lane closures next spring as the Contractor works to complete the remaining items on this project.
