Project Info

I-90 - Freya Street Interchange - Ramp Improvements - Completed September 2016

The new off ramp routes traffic onto existing Second Avenue several blocks prior to Freya. Drivers are able to select the proper lane to continue west on Second or turn north on Freya well ahead of the signal. The signal now only requires two phases.

How you benefit

Relieves congestion
The old ramp was too short and traffic backed up onto the main freeway lanes during busy commute hours.

Partnerships & cooperation
WSDOT partnered with the City of Spokane to coordinate the new signal phases.
