Project Description
This project will provide increased vertical clearance for the westbound Cle Elum River bridge (90/134N).

Recent Progress
Environmental documentation completed.  Design of the project is approximately 80% complete.  The project will be constructed in the summer of 2004.

Design Construction Impacts
Project is on schedule; no impacts to design this quarter.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
All environmental documents were completed in the fall of 2003.  All work will occur within the existing right of way.  Impacts are minimal and no mitigation is required for this project.  Best management practices will be used during construction.

Impacts to Traffic
During construction hours, the speed limit will be reduced and westbound traffic will be detoured to the eastbound lanes.  I-90 will be limited to one lane in each direction, separated by traffic safety barrels.  All lanes will be open to traffic from Friday noon to midnight Sunday and during non-work hours.
