Recent Progress
This project is in the design stage.  The design of the bridge modifications will be completed by early spring 2004.  The project will be constructed in the summer of 2004.

Design Construction Impacts
During initial design work, we discovered that a more extensive detour than originally proposed would be necessary.  This change increased the project design costs by $50,000, and the construction costs by $510,000.  The schedule is unaffected.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
All environmental documents are schedule to be completed in the fall of 2003.  All work will occur within the existing right of way.  Impacts are limited and no mitigation is required for this project.

Impacts to Traffic
During construction hours, the speed limit will be reduced and westbound traffic will be detoured to the eastbound lanes.  I-90 will be limited to one lane in each direction, separated by a traffic control devices.  All lanes will be open to traffic from Friday noon to midnight Sunday and non-work hours.
