Recent Progress
Design is progressing towards 90%, anticipated for June 2008. A more in-depth geotechnical study is being conducted to determine the effect groundwater will have during construction of the Park & Ride and stormwater facilities. The Environmental Assesment is nearly complete and is awaiting the completion of the Biological Assessment (BA). The BA has been revised to a "Not Likely to Adversely Affect" call and has begun the informal consultation process with NMFS.
Construction may begin in 2010 if environmental documentation is complete, permits are acquired, design is finalized, and Clark County has completed the financing plan.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
The Environmental Assessment for this project will detail the project's direct and indirect environmental impacts (natural, ecological, societal and economic) in order to guide final design and construction. This project may provide an opportunity to improve wetland habitat and storm water runoff in the project area. The Biological Assessment has begun the informal consultation process with NMFS.
The EA is progressing toward a final draft. It is anticipated to be complete in 2008.
