New bridge between I-5 and SR 411

Project Description
This project constructs a new bridge across the Cowlitz River from State Route 411 in Lexington to I-5 at the existing Ostrander Road interchange (exit 42). This is a partnership project with Cowlitz County.

Berger / Abam Engineers

Recent Progress
Work continues on the Type, Size and Location (TS&L) report. Preliminary geotechnical work has been completed and the data is being reviewed. Preliminary work is being accomplished on right of way acquisition. Consultant selection for the spring 2004 Value Engineering study has started.

Design Construction Impacts

At this time there are no known design issues that will impact the scope, schedule, or budget for this project.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Impacts and compliance requirements not yet determined.

Impacts to Traffic
For the most part, construction impacts will be off the existing roadway system. Some minor impacts may occur with activities such as materials delivery.
