Project Description
This project constructs a new bridge across the Cowlitz River from State Route 411 in Lexington to I-5 at the existing Ostrander Road interchange (exit 42). This is a partnership project with Cowlitz County.

Recent Progress
The Type, Size and Location (TS&L) report was approved on June 1, 2004. Preliminary geotechnical work is completed and the data is being reviewed. In-water borings will be conducted in Summer 2004. Preliminary work is being accomplished on right of way acquisition. The consulting firm of Lewis & Zimmerman was selected for the Value Engineering study which will take place in July.

At this time there are no known design issues that will impact the scope, schedule, or budget for this project.

Impacts to Traffic
For the most part, construction impacts will be off the existing roadway system. Some minor impacts may occur with activities such as materials delivery.
