Project Title & Location
New bridge between I-5 and SR 411

Project Description
This project constructs a new bridge across the Cowlitz River from State Route 411 in Lexington to I-5 at the existing Ostrander Road interchange (exit 42). This is a partnership project with Cowlitz County.

Contractor/Consultant

Recent Progress

The bridge piers have been built and all of the "in-water" work is complete (with the exception of removing the temporary work platform).  The utilities and storm-water underground work is also complete.  Curb and sidewalk has been installed on SR411.  The bridge girder installation has been scheduled for January 2007.

Design Construction Impacts
Construction impacts consist of minor daytime noise increases adjacent to the work area due to the operation of construction equipment.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
The bridge pier construction was completed during the "in-water" work window as permitted.

Impacts to Traffic
Motorists can expect minor delays in January when the bridge girder beams are transported to the site.  Impacts will be minor and limited to Northbound Ramps on I-5, and the intersection of SR411 and Sparks Drive.
