I-5 - SR 509 Freight & Congestion Relief Project - Real Estate Information

WSDOT must purchase specific properties along the I-5/SR 509 corridors to provide room for the planned improvements.  The project is using $30 million provided by the Nickel Funding Package, as well as $24 million provided by the Transportation Partnership Act, to purchase property for right of way.  Much more funding is needed to acquire all the property necessary for the project.

Below are links to aerial photos of small sections of the project area.  Lines have been drawn on the photos to show where property will be acquired. Blue lines show the proposed right of way that must be purchased for the project. Green lines show existing right of way that WSDOT owns. Yellow lines show the future alignment--the roads, ramps and local connections that were used to determine right of way needs.
