I-5/SR 432 Talley Way Interchanges

Project Description
The interchanges at I-5 and SR 432, and at SR 432 and Talley Way are in close proximity to each other with substandard weaving lengths between ramps. This project will reduce congestion and collision risk by reconstructing portions of the interchanges and improving connections to existing roadways.

Recent Progress
Open house was held on September 27th. On November 28th a scale down CRA and Constructability review was completed on the latest alternative "M" plan. The project team is reviewing the Interstate 5 undercrossing structure options to keep the construction costs to a minimum.
Three parcels have been identified and an early acquisition request was submitted in early December.

Design Construction Impacts
More preliminary geotechnical work will be done to determine if liquefaction mitigation is needed in order to widen the existing structure over I-5.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
The baseline environmental technical reports of the existing conditions are complete.

At this time, there are no traffic impacts.
