In September 2004, we began sending out weekly e-mail updates on the I-5 - South 317th Street HOV Direct Access Project. In February 2005, we expanded the scope of these e-mail updates to include the I-5 HOV Widening Project in south King County. In summer 2005, we began adding information on projects near I-5 in south King County, such as the Highway 18 Truck Climbing Lane Project and the Highway 161 Widening Project. Now the updates cover many projects all over south King County.
Like our radio messages, our e-mail updates contain information on what crews have accomplished in the past week, what they'll be doing next, and how these day-to-day details fit into the overall projects. We also alert subscribers to upcoming lane and ramp closures associated with the projects. And our e-mail updates allow us to share more in-depth information and links than we are able to in the radio messages.
