I-5 - Mellen Street to Blakeslee Junction - Complete August 2016

The project improves safety and reduces congestion on I-5 in Centralia. WSDOT added collector-distributor lanes to connect the intersections of Mellen Street and Harrison Avenue, allowing local traffic to reach their in-town destinations without merging into one of two lanes of I-5. Additionally, modifications to the Mellen Street and Harrison Avenue interchanges improve traffic flow and reduce backups onto the interstate. Other work includes bridge repair and realignment of the highway.
