October 2005
We completed paving and striping work. Some minor finishing work remains.
July 2005
July 18 we finished the last of four major construction weekends. Crews continued pavement rehabilitation work on weekdays.
June 2005
Construction crews completed two more construction weekends on June 17-20 and June 24-27. Traffic on southbound I-5 was reduced to one lane. Although only one lane of southbound I-5 was open to traffic, backups in both the northbound and southbound directions were not as lengthy as predicted because motorists took our advice and carpooled, rode the bus, rescheduled trips, or used alternate routes. We are pleased that drivers helped us out. Some weeknight construction work continues.
April and May 2005
Construction crews working for WSDOT's contractor, Gary Merlino Construction, completed much of the scheduled weeknight preparatory construction work and the first of four weekends of construction April 22-25 Wet weather postponed construction on five weekends, April 1-4, April 15-18, April 29-May 2, May 13-16, and May 20-23.
