Project Description
This project is a partnership with Lewis County to reduce flood impacts to I-5 and the Chehalis River Basin.

Contractor/Consultant
Project not yet advertised or awarded.

Recent Progress
The Washington State Legislature appropriated $30 million for this project to be used as a match for federal funds being requested by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  Together these funds will be used for the design, right-of-way acquisition and project construction.

Design Construction Impacts
At this time there are no known design issues that will impact the scope, schedule, or budget for this project.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers completed the Final General Reevaluation Report and the Final Environmental Impact Statement for this project.  The Corps will now proceed with the environmental impact study for the preferred alternative.  This study will detail the project's direct and indirect environmental impacts (natural, ecological, societal and economic) in order to guide final design and construction.

Impacts to Traffic
Impacts during this project should be limited to visual impacts only.
