*Quarterly Project Report Update for Quarter Ending December 2003*

Project Title & Location I-5, Bakerview Road to the Nooksack River Bridge, concrete pavement reconstruction, Bellingham to Ferndale	Project Description This project will repair and replace segments of southbound Interstate 5 from Ferndale to Bellingham, between Bakerview Road and the Nooksack River Bridge.
Contractor/Consultant Project has not been advertised or awarded.
Recent Progress Design funds have been approved to assess wetland impacts that may arise from safety improvements that will be made at the Slater Road interchange.
Design Construction Impacts We are just beginning the project design. Impacts from the design and construction are not known yet.
Environmental Impacts / Compliance WSDOT biologists are scheduled to survey the wetlands at the Slater Road interchange. Surveying the wetlands in this stage of the project will help ensure that we meet the current advertisement date for the project.	Impacts to Traffic We are just beginning the project design. Impacts from the design and construction are not known yet.
