I-5, Bakerview Road to the Nooksack River Bridge, concrete pavement reconstruction, Bellingham to Ferndale

Project Description
This project will repair and replace segments of southbound Interstate 5 from Ferndale to Bellingham, between Bakerview Road and the Nooksack River Bridge.

Contractor/Consultant
The project has not been advertised or awarded.

Recent Progress

The project team has meet with Materials Lab and Maintenance to complete the field review.  Additional panels were found in need of repair within the project limits.  Materials Lab will be providing an estimate for this additional work and a request will be sent to Program Management for additional funding approval. Request for pre-design comments were sent out and comments have been returned.  A base map has also been developed for this project.

Design Construction Impacts

Impacts from the design and construction are not known yet.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
No wetland impacts are anticipated with the elimination of the slope flattening portion of this project. No add impervious surfacing is anticipated for this project.
