Stage 2 Community Meeting, June 2008
WSDOT hosted a community meeting with property owners on the east side of I-5 (Stage 2) to discuss preliminary noise wall design and the community polling process. The information we shared included:
Wall 1-North: between NE 92nd Street and NE 85th Street on the east side of I-5
Wall 1-South: between NE 85th Street and NE 80th Street on the east side of I-5
WSDOT sent a design mailer (pdf 217 kb) to property owners on the west side of I-5 regarding the final design of Walls 2, 3 and 4.
Stage 1 Project Update Letter, September 2007
WSDOT sent a letter to property owners regarding neighborhood-side design options for the planned noise walls on the west side of I-5:
- Property owners near Wall 2 (pdf 545 kb) selected the ashlar stone pattern
- Property owners near Wall 3 (pdf 616 kb) selected the ashlar stone pattern
- Property owners near Wall 4 (pdf 590 kb) selected the dry stack stone pattern
Stage 1 Design Workshop, August 2007
WSDOT met with property owners nearest the noise walls locations on the west side of I-5. Property owners provided input regarding four noise wall design treatments and a few color options for the neighborhood side of these noise walls.
We shared four design options and three color choices for the neighborhood side of each noise wall.
We also discussed landscape options (pdf 129 kb) for the highway side of the noise walls.

WSDOT met with members of the Green Lake and Licton Springs neighborhoods to discuss specific information about noise walls planned for the west side of I-5. The project team showed property owners the proposed locations, heights and anticipated noise reduction at each wall.
