bridge, to tear down the bridge.

Crews removed all the bridge over the southbound I-5 lanes
October 25, 2004 - Crews removed all the 2nd St. Bridge over southbound
I-5 in one night.  They originally planned to remove it in two nights.

No more 2nd St. Bridge over I-5.
October 28, 2004 - Overheight trucks will no longer have to detour off I-5 to
avoid hitting the 2nd Street Bridge in Mount Vernon.  Crews removed
the section of bridge over I-5 Monday night and Tuesday night this
week. 

Very little remains of the 2nd St. Bridge
October 28, 2004 - Very little remains of the old 1928 built 2nd St. Bridge. 
There is one little sliver left over the Burlington Northern Santa
Fe Railroad tracks between I-5 and SR 536.
