I-405: I-5 to SR 169 Stage 1 Widening (I-5 to SR 167) - #7295

WSDOT is adding one northbound and one southbound lane to I-405 between I-5 and SR 167. We will also add one southbound lane on SR 167 between I-405 and SW 41st Street, and extend the southbound SR 167 HOV lane from I-405 to the
start of the HOT lane.  




I-405

  • Friday, Feb. 5 - Crews will close the right lane on southbound I-405 from SR 181 to I-5 f from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for construction work.
  • Monday, Feb. 8 - Friday, Feb. 12 - We do not expect construction to affect traffic this week.

Street closures

  • Monday, Feb. 1 - Friday, Feb. 5 - Crews will close one lane in each direction on Oakesdale Avenue SW daily between SW Grady Way and SW 16th Street from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. for construction work.
  • Monday, Feb. 8 - Friday, Feb. 12 - We do not expect construction to affect traffic this week.

I-405: I-5 to SR 169 Stage 2 Widening (SR 167 to SR 169) - #7624

WSDOT is adding a northbound and southbound lane to I-405 between SR 167 and SR 169. We will also construct a new half-diamond interchange at SR 515 and reconstruct the Benson Road Bridge over I-405.




I-405

  • Thursday, Feb. 4 - the morning of Saturday, Feb. 6 - Crews will close up to two lanes on northbound I-405 from SR 167 to SR 169 nightly from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for construction work.
  • Thursday, Feb. 4 - Crews will conduct intermittent rolling slowdowns on northbound I-405 from I-5 to just north of SR 167 from 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m. to place bridge girders. Drivers should expect delays up to 15 minutes.
  • Thursday, Feb. 4 - Crews will conduct intermittent rolling slowdowns on southbound I-405 from 112th Ave. SE to SR 167 from 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m. to place bridge girders. Drivers should expect delays up to 15 minutes.
  • Friday, Feb. 5 - Crews will close up to two lanes on southbound I-405 from SR 169 to SR 167 from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. to set bridge girders.
  • Saturday, Feb. 6 - Crews will close one lane on northbound I-405 from SR 167 to SR 169 from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. to set bridge girders.
  • Saturday, Feb. 6 - Crews conduct intermittent rolling slowdowns on southbound I-405 from 112th Ave. SE to SR 167 from 3 to 6 a.m. to set bridge girders. Drivers should expect delays up to 15 minutes.

  • Monday, Feb. 8; Wednesday, Feb. 10 - Crews will conduct intermittent rolling slowdowns on northbound I-405 from I-5 to just north of SR 167 from 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m. to place bridge girders. Drivers should expect delays up to 15 minutes.
  • Monday, Feb. 8 - the morning of Friday, Feb. 12 - Crews will close up to two lanes on northbound I-405 from SR 167 to SR 169 nightly from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for construction work.
  • Monday, Feb. 8 - the morning of Friday, Feb. 12 - Crews will close up to two lanes on southbound  I-405 from SR 169 to SR 167 nightly from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for construction work.

I-405/SR 167 ramps

  • Wednesday, Feb. 10 - the morning of Friday, Feb. 12 - Crews will close the ramp from northbound SR 167 to northbound I-405 nightly from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. for construction work. A detour will be posted.

City Streets

  • Tuesday, Feb. 9 - Crews will close Benson Road S. from Renton City Hall to Eagle Ridge Drive from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. for construction work.

I-405: South Bellevue Widening (112th Ave SE to SE 8th Street) - #7283

WSDOT is widening I-405 within the city of Bellevue between 112th Avenue SE and SE Eighth Street. The principle features of the 112th Avenue SE to SE Eighth Street project are one southbound lane from SE Eighth Street to I-90 and one northbound lane from 112th Avenue to SE Eighth Street.
 

  • Monday, Feb. 8 - Friday, Feb. 12 - Crews will close the right lane on the on-ramp from SE 8th Street to southbound I-405 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for construction work.

I-405: NE 10th Street Bridge Crossing - #7417

WSDOT partnered with the city of Bellevue to build a new freeway bridge at NE 10th Street in Bellevue. The NE 10th Street Bridge was built in two stages. The city of Bellevue will construct the first stage. WSDOT will construct the bridge over I-405 in the second stage.

  • Friday, Feb. 5 - Crews will close the on-ramp from NE Fourth Street to northbound I-405 nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.

  • Monday, Feb. 8 - the morning of Friday, Feb. 12 - Crews will close up to two lanes on northbound I-405 from NE Fourth Street to NE 12th Street nightly for construction work. The first lane will close at 9 p.m. and the second lane will close at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m.
  • Monday, Feb. 8 - Crews will close the collector distributor ramps from northbound I-405 to eastbound and westbound NE Eighth Street from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.
  • Monday, Feb. 8 - the morning of Thursday, Feb. 11 - Crews will close the on-ramps from both directions of NE Eighth Street to northbound I-405 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.

City Streets

  • Tuesday, Feb - the morning of Thursday, Feb. 9 - Crews will close the right lane on eastbound NE Eighth Street near the NE Eighth Street Bridge nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for construction work.

I-405: NE 8th Street to SR 520 Braided Ramps -Interchange Improvements #7726

WSDOT is building new multi-level "braided" ramps to separate vehicles entering and exiting northbound I-405 between NE 8th Street and SR 520 in Bellevue.

I-405 Mainline and ramps 

  • Monday, Feb. 8 - the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 10 - Crews will close the right lane on northbound I-405 from NE Eighth Street to SR 520 nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.
  • Monday, Feb. 8 - the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 10 - Crews will close the on-ramp from westbound NE Eight Street to northbound I-405 nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for construction work.

City Streets

  • Thursday, Feb. 4 – Friday, Feb. 5 – Crews will close the eastbound lane and the sidewalk on the NE 12th Street bridge daily from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for construction work.
  • Monday, Feb. 8 - Friday, Feb. 12 - Crews will close the eastbound lane and the sidewalk on the NE 12th Street bridge daily from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for construction work.

I-405: NE 195th to SR 527 – Northbound Auxiliary Lane - #7761

WSDOT is building an auxiliary lane on northbound I-405 from NE 195th Street to SR 527. The new 1.8 mile lane will help improve congestion for afternoon commuters headed into Bothell.
