Recent Progress

Accelerated the Bellevue Nickel Improvement Project schedule including the Environmental Assessment (EA) and Discipline Report (DR) preparation in accordance with the 2005 Legislative funding package.  Baseline conditions for DRs were completed and half of the draft DRs are complete.  Held neighborhood information meetings for Woodridge Neighborhood and Surrey Downs Neighborhood.  Held two Bellevue Advisory Committee meetings focusing on the environmental process and on noise issues.  Began revisions to the Right of Way Plans in the vicinity of the Wilburton Tunnel.  Met with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad (BNSF) and began developing the right of way and the construction agreements.

Design Construction Impacts

Expect moderate construction impacts.  Plan to rebuild Wilburton tunnel within the center median area between Northbound and Southbound I-405 minimizing those potential construction impacts.
