I-205/Mill Plain Exit - 112th Ave Connector

Project Description
This project will provide a direct connection to NE 112th Avenue from the off ramp of northbound I-205 to westbound Mill Plain Boulevard. It is a partnership project with the City of Vancouver.

Contractor/Consultant
Selby Bridge Company, Vancouver, WA  

Recent Progress
The project was awarded to Selby Bridge Company on May 1, 2008.  The bid was approximatly $2.7 Million under the engineers estimate.  A ground breaking event was held on May 28th and a pre-construction open house was held on June 5th.  Construction work started on June 9th. 

Design Construction Impacts
This project consists of a new ramp bridge over a modified off-ramp.  A new intersection will provide direct access from I-205 to NE 112th Avenue.  Ramp traffic will be detoured on a temporary alignment during construction.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Environmental documentation, for this project and the I-205/Mill Plain to NE 18th St. Project, was completed in August 2007. Environmental permitting is complete.

Impacts to Traffic
There will be impacts during construction, including ramp closures.  Anticipate minimal impacts to Interstate 205 and moderate impacts to Mill Plain Blvd and 112th Ave.  Traffic impacts will be updated on a weekly basis and will be available for the public on the Travel Advisory web page and local news papers.
