I-90 Sprague Avenue Interchange Reconstruction - Spokane

On time: Good The work was completed in one construction season, and about a month early On Budget: Good The project was on budget at $14.6 million

When the interchange opened in late September, it was the completion of four separate projects to reconstruct I-90 between Havanna and Argonne. This last phase is a great example of how WSDOT and private contractors can work together to complete projects ahead of schedule. By heating and covering the concrete as it cured, the Max J. Kuney Company was able to finish the job in one construction season instead of two.
