In spring 2010, crews completed more than seven miles of cable barrier along I-5, I-90, and SR 18 in northwest Washington. Work will begin in summer 2010 to install additional cable barrier on I-5 north of Everett and near Bellingham, on I-90 east of North Bend, on SR 8 and US 101 west of Olympia, and on SR 303 near Silverdale.
In spring 2010, crews completed nearly 15 miles along I-5 in southwest Washington.
In fall 2009, WSDOT contractor crews completed installing more than seven miles of cable median barrier along I-90 near Moses Lake and Thorp. In summer 2010, crews will install 5 miles of cable barrier on US 12 west of Yakima and a short section of cable barrier on I-90 near Cle Elum.
WSDOT contractor crews will also begin installing cable barrier on US 395 north of Spokane in May 2010.
