I-5: Boeing Access Road to King and Snohomish county line pavement repair #7623
Mileposts: 156 - 177
Aleta Borschowa, Project Engineer, 206-768-5862
Crews will replace 440 concrete panels and grind down uneven pavement on both directions of I-5 and the express lanes from Boeing Access Road in Seattle to the King and Snohomish county line.

Last update: 12:10 p.m., 2/8/10

We are finished with all pavement grinding work and lane re-striping. All that we have left to do is replace damaged traffic sensors that are embedded in the highway. This work is weather dependent.

  • Monday, Feb. 8 - Crews will close two lanes of southbound I-5 at NE 65th Street from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 9 - Crews will close three lanes of southbound I-5 at NE 130th Street from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 10 - Crews will close two lanes of southbound I-5 at Northgate Way from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 11 - Crews will close the southbound I-5 exit to Airport Way from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. We will provide drivers with a signed detour.
  • You can get real-time photos and keep an eye on traffic on northbound and southbound I-5 with our seattle area traffic cameras.

Construction noise information: Crews will replace traffic loops on northbound and southbound I-5 between the University District and NE 130th Street. Loop replacement work is typically much quieter than pavement grinding. However, if you are disturbed by construction noise, please contact us at 206.440.4702. We will get you a set of earplugs right away.
