Interstate 5

Bellingham: I-5, Squalicum Creek fish passage

We will install retaining walls alongside both sides of I-5 between the Sunset Drive and Guide Meridian interchanges. They will help improve fish passage.

Ferndale: I-5, Nooksack River bridges - painting 
We will paint the northbound and southbound I-5 bridges over the Nooksack River in Ferndale.

State Route 9

Arlington: SR 9 - Pilchuck Creek bridge replacement
We will replace the narrow, single-lane bridge with a wider, two-lane bridge and realign the highway to improve safety for drivers.

Bellingham, Lynden, Sumas: SR 9 and SR 539 traffic cameras
We will install new fiber optic cable, one traffic camera and one traffic data station on SR 9 in Sumas. And, we will install new fiber optic cable, 12 traffic cameras, two weather stations and one variable message sign on SR 539 between Bellingham and Lynden.

Bellingham: SR 11 - Padden Creek - Fish Barrier Removal
We will build a bridge along Fairhaven Parkway (SR 11) in the vicinity of 20th Street for Padden Creek to replace a brick tunnel.

State Route 20

Rockport: SR 20, Skagit River restoration
We will make improvements to SR 20 between Rockport and Marblemount to protect the highway from the Skagit River.

Coupeville: SR 20, Morris Road to Jacobs Road safety improvements
We will make safety improvements along SR 20 between mileposts 19 and 20 to reduce the risk of collisions and improve access to the Solid Waste Complex.

Bellingham: SR 539, I-5 to Horton Road - access management 
We will make improvements along Guide Meridian between I-5 and Horton Road to improve safety and traffic flow.
