Updating GPS Information
The GPS unit attached to the snowblower is dependent on cell phone signals, which may be spotty at times. Snowblowers don't move very quickly either, so don't be surprised if the vehicle doesn't fly across the map.
A GPS tracking device attached to a snowblower plowing its way to Artist Point transmits its location to the WSDOT Web site. A combination of maps, pictures and video allow you to follow along.
Quick Updates - Summer 2009
- Crews will start plowing through the snow on Monday, July 6. We hope to have the road open by late-July.
- The June heat-wave helped melt a significant amount of snow for us. As a result, there’s very little snow at the lower gate, near the upper ski lodge.
