One week to go: airports have until 5 p.m. April 30 to submit applications for the second round of 2013–2015 airport grants . During this round, the Washington State Department of Transportation anticipates awarding $1.9 million for airport projects.

Airports must submit hard copy applications with the original signatures of an authorized airport representative. WSDOT cannot accept applications via email or fax.

Airports may provide supporting documentation, such as project schedules, scopes of work, etc., in either printed form accompanying the application or by email to johnsel@wsdot.wa.gov.

As part of this round of grants, WSDOT is implementing its new Statewide Capital Improvement Program (SCIP). Airports must apply for projects included in the SCIP. WSDOT will prioritize applications based on their SCIP project scores.
