SEATTLE – The State Route 99 Tunnel Project’s Advisory Committee on Tolling and Traffic Management will meet March 13 to discuss traffic and revenue modeling results from four additional toll scenarios.
The meeting is from 2 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, in the Puget Sound Regional Council office at 1011 Western Ave., Suite 500, in Seattle.
The advisory committee, created by the city of Seattle in an agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation, is charged with exploring ways to reduce traffic diversion due to tunnel tolls and meet the project’s funding goals. Committee members anticipate providing initial recommendations in 2013 to the governor, Legislature, State Transportation Commission, Federal Highway Administration, WSDOT, the mayor of Seattle and the Seattle City Council. The Washington State Transportation Commission is responsible for setting toll rates.
The public is welcome to attend committee meetings to view the information presented and submit written comments. Committee materials are available online following each meeting and comments or questions can also be submitted through a web form.
