ARLINGTON – As wildfires continue to blaze in central Washington, pilots are reminded to check for temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) associated with firefighting activity.
Several TFRs are currently active in Washington state, including one around Tieton, a state-managed airport. TFRs are listed on the Federal Aviation Administration’s website: http://tfr.faa.gov/tfr2/list.html.
Pilots should call the local Flight Service Station at 1-800-WX-BRIEF for flight planning purposes and to receive the most current information.
