SEATTLE – The SR 99 Tunnel Project’s Advisory Committee on Tolling and Traffic Management meets Wednesday to continue exploring ways to reduce traffic diversion due to tunnel tolls and meet the project’s funding goals. Committee members will review current freight and transit traffic movements and downtown and waterfront planning efforts.
The meeting will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, at the Sound Transit board room, 401 S. Jackson St., in Seattle. The advisory committee, created by the Washington State Department of Transportation and the city of Seattle, will prepare its initial recommendations by December.
The public is welcome to attend committee meetings to view the information presented and submit written comments. Committee materials are available at www.alaskanwayviaduct.org/ following each meeting.
