VANCOUVER – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) invites the public and local business community to provide feedback on the State Route 500, St. Johns Interchange project at an open house on Sept. 16.

Thursday, Sept. 16
4 – 6:30 p.m. (stop by anytime)
Minnehaha Elementary School
2800 NE 54th St.
Vancouver, WA 98663

The $57.4 million project will improve safety and increase mobility along the SR 500 corridor and constructs a new freeway-style interchange at SR 500 and St. Johns Boulevard. WSDOT is fully closing a portion of St. Johns Boulevard for up to 12 months during construction, which is scheduled to begin this winter.

At the open house, WSDOT staff will provide information and answer questions regarding the long-term closure, detour routes and plans to minimize impacts to local businesses. Staff is looking to receive public feedback on WSDOT’s plans to reduce effects on the community. There will be no formal presentations, so attendees are encouraged to stop by anytime between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
