WSDOT closes southbound US 395 in Kennewick for nine days starting Sep. 11
KENNEWICK – On Friday, Sept. 11 at 9 p.m., WSDOT and the contractor will close southbound US 395, from Court Street to Yelm Street, to finish rebuilding that section of US 395 with two lanes into Kennewick. Construction crews will work around the clock to get this work done. The new southbound US 395 lanes are scheduled to be finished and open to traffic at noon on Sunday, Sept. 20.
Southbound US 395 drivers have several detour options. Electronic message boards and orange detour signs will direct southbound traffic to one of these routes:
- SR 397 through Kennewick to I-82/US 395 southbound
- I-182 westbound to SR 240 eastbound to US 395 southbound
- I-182 westbound to I-82 eastbound to I-82/US 395 southbound
