VANCOUVER – Crews worked overnight and this morning to reopen US 12 White Pass following several natural snow slides near the summit Thursday, along with overnight snow accumulations.

WSDOT avalanche control teams assessed several locations along the US 12 roadway for avalanche danger early this morning and gave maintenance crews the go-ahead to reopen.

The road was reopened with a "Traction Tires Required" restriction.
