SEATTLE – Noise wall construction will require crews to close one lane of southbound I-5 and the southbound I-5 exit to Boylston Avenue and Roanoke Street in Seattle this weekend.
Friday, Jan. 2 crews will close the southbound I-5 exit to Boylston Avenue and Roanoke Street at 9 p.m. The exit will reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, Jan 5. During the closure crews will drill shafts for the noise wall foundation.
Sunday, Jan. 4 crews will close one lane of southbound I-5 near the exit to Boylston Avenue and Roanoke Street at 9 p.m. The lane will reopen to drivers by 5 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 5. During the closure, crews will install traffic barriers to restrict access to the shoulder on I-5 so crews and equipment have extra room to work during noise wall panel installation. The shoulder will remain closed until mid-February.
Drivers expecting to use this exit should plan ahead and use signed detour routes.
