Westbound I-90 nighttime closures in Bellevue next week

BELLEVUE – Drivers should plan for nighttime detours and delays next week as crews close westbound I-90 at I-405 to prepare a new southbound freeway bridge that is expected to open to traffic sometime next week.

Closure:

Crews will close all westbound I-90 lanes at I-405 nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Dec. 15-18. Crews will also close the following ramps:

  • The on-ramp to southbound I-405 from westbound I-90.
  • The off-ramp from southbound I-405 to eastbound I-90.

During the closure, drivers will be detoured onto northbound I-405 to NE Eighth Street before returning to I-90.

Crews may also close up to three lanes in each direction on northbound I-405 between I-90 and SE Eighth Street, two lanes in each direction on southbound I-405 between 112th Avenue SE and I-90 and ramps in south Bellevue during the night and early morning hours on Dec. 15-18 for paving and striping. Crews continue to build bridge at NE 10th Street

Crews may close three lanes on southbound I-405 between SR 520 and SE Eighth Street, during the night and early morning hours, on Dec. 12 for construction work. For project and closure information please visit: www.wsdot.wa.gov/projects/i405/ne10thstreet/

I-405 delays in Renton and Tukwila

Crews may close up to two lanes in each direction of I-405 between SR 167 and I-5, during the night and early morning hours, on Dec. 15-18 for work on overhead signs. Crews may also close a lane on the 61st Avenue S Bridge. For project information please visit:
