WSDOT Travel Advisory
On-ramp closed from 16th Avenue to westbound US 12 August 7-9 in Yakima
Fruitvale Blvd. is recommended detour
YAKIMA – WSDOT and the contractor have closed the on-ramp from 16th Avenue to westbound US 12 from 4:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 through Saturday, Aug. 9. The ramp closure is needed to allow room to move heavy equipment in and out of the work zone safely.
WSDOT and the City of Yakima recommend drivers use Fruitvale Blvd. as the detour to get to destinations west of 16th Avenue.
This project will correct chronic bank erosion threatening US 12 by redirecting the Naches River. For more information on this project visit: www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/US12/NachesRiver
