SEATTLE – Crews working for WSDOT on Interstate 5 in south Everett are giving striping another chance after last week’s rain delayed their plans.
- Tuesday, Aug. 5- Crews will close three lanes of northbound I-5 from 128th Street SE to SR 527 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping. The work is weather dependent, which means crews will need dry conditions in order to stripe the roadway.
- Wednesday, Aug. 6 – Crews will close the two left lanes of southbound I-5 from SR 527 to 128th Street from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping. The work is weather dependent, which means crews will need dry conditions in order to stripe the roadway.
The work is part of Sound Transit’s South Everett Freeway Station project. When the project is complete, buses, carpools and vanpools will be able to go directly to and from the I-5 HOV lanes to a new 400-stall park-and-ride lot in the I-5 median at 112th Street SE.
